A curiosity that keeps moving.

I'm Yuanshuo Li, a high school student from Yunnan, China, now studying in the United States. Growing up around my family's restaurants, I became curious about the stories behind familiar foods—especially Yunnan's wild mushrooms.

That curiosity led me into forests, markets, and kitchens, where I listened to foragers, traders, and chefs and began exploring how food connects people, places, and livelihoods.

Through fieldwork, photography, and writing on my WeChat account, Yuan Ye Lu, I keep following those connections. This website brings together the questions, encounters, and observations that continue to shape how I see the world.
